Childcare

Welcome to Wee Rockets Childcare!

Wee Rockets is a Kansas Department of Health and Environment licensed early education and childcare program. Experienced child development professionals guide and encourage your child’s learning through all stages of development. An emotionally supportive environment is ensured by inviting active exploration through play, movement, and social interaction.

The educational programs provided to the children are designed to build a lifetime love of learning, with focus on preparing younger children for school and reinforcing educational milestones for school-age children. Our staff is experienced in working with special needs children, and we work with local organizations to ensure your child is meeting necessary milestones and developmental needs. Should you require special care of that nature for your child, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs.

Curriculum

Wee Rockets meets monthly with early education teachers at Rose Hill Primary School to ensure that we are using the same curriculum. All teachers are encouraged to integrate the Rose Hill USD 394 curriculum into their classroom lesson plans. This better prepares our Wee Rockets CDC children for kindergarten, and ensures they are meeting expectations for kindergarten screening. Children who attend Wee Rockets tend to excel on the kindergarten screenings thanks to extended efforts to make sure every child is developmentally and emotionally prepared.

Bible Lessons

Every classroom incorporates a weekly Bible lesson into daily routines, including reading the scripture, discussing message and characters, coloring sheets, games, and craft activities, as they are age appropriate. The Bible lesson curriculum currently used is Sermons4Kids, which is also used by the Rose Hill United Methodist Church.

Wee Rockets also meets monthly with Ms. Deena Dassel, Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Rose Hill Public School, to make sure that we are using the same curriculum. All teachers are encouraged to integrate the Rose Hill USD 394 curriculum into their classroom lesson plans.
